My EDGE project involved a paid internship at a dental office. I completed well over the needed 40 hours during my project. This EDGE project helped me have a better idea for my future and help me be a leader by having clear and tangible goals to work towards. Opportunities, such as this, often facilitate future employment opportunities and contacts within the field. I gained confidence as I stepped outside of my comfort zone, which also helped me develop leadership skills in this field I wish to be in.  At the end of my project I provided a write up that shares some of my experiences and things that I learned during my EDGE project. I  also have proof of hours by providing a letter from someone at the dentist office who is aware of my project.
